How to Fix 'Paper Jam' Error in HP 5520 Printers?

While printing from HP 5520 printer, the printer stops feeding pages, and the error message “Paper Jam” appears. Here, power button light might also blink fast that indicates the paper jam issue. Method 1- Turn the All-in-One off and on again:

Press power button in order to turn off the printer and then wait for few seconds.

In the next step, load the plain A4 size paper in the paper tray.

Then touch the setting icon on the control panel and then touch tools.

Then you need to touch the printer status report.

If these steps fixed the error, and the printer start printing the test page then you are not required to follow the other methods. But if the error still persists, try the other workaround.

Method 2- Make sure that product rests on a flat surface:

First of all check, the printer is seated on the flat surface.
Make sure that the printer does not rest on any rough or unleveled place that can cause the printer to tilt or even slightly. 

Then you need to take off the paper tray.

Now, load 10 sheets of plain white paper in the paper tray.

Then, simply push the paper tray back into the printer.

Print a test page that if the printer is working or not. 

Method 3- Check to see if the paper tray is inserted correctly:

Firstly you need to turn off your printer.

Then disconnect all the connected peripherals and USB to the printer.

Rotate the printer onto its right side so that you can access the underside of the printer.

Check the plastic tab underside of the paper side is correctly seated or not.

Set up the paper tray securely into the place again after the checking the plastic tab.

Now, you have to rotate the printer back to its previous position

Further, simply reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

Then, slightly plug the power cord back into the power source or electrical outlet.

At last, press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Method 4- Reset the All-in-One:

Turn on the printer and then disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

Now, you need to unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for few seconds

Next, you have to plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Then simply, reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
